Mourad Messoubeur intercepts the living, bringing an infinitely tiny world to life by applying flesh tints of microorganisms onto the transparent surface of plexi-glass. That which marries with precious materials consists of moulds, of multi-cellular organisms. The atmosphere, air, humidity, the dissemination and germination of multicellular organisms are captured together in this transparent medium.
The work makes reference to the earth and climatic changes, but at the same time represents the origin of life from thousands of varieties of fungi.
Mourad MESSOUBEUR was born in 1964.
Today he is a visual artist who lives and works in Marseille.
